Abbi and her son were scheduled to be euthanized in Southern California because both tested positive for FIV+. In fact, having tested Abbi a few months later, it was a solid FIV+ confirmation.  Anyway a rescue group took them both and they went to Fat Kitty City.  Abbi got spayed at FKC.  Then Abbi came here.

Her breath was bad, seriously bad.  Examination showed missing teeth and severe inflamation, so off to the vet for a pre-surgey examination.  But the surgery was delayed, due to a heart murmur, grade 1-2.

June 15, echocardiagram confirmed Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which is a condition in which the heart becomes thickened without an obvious cause. But she was OK for surgery the next day (June 16th)  IF her blood pressure was satisfactory.

It was and all her teeth were extracted.  Her breath is now fresh and clean.  The inflammation in her mouth is gone.  She enjoys her food, perhaps you noticed her 'cantaloupe' shape?  Far beyond the normal for a Sphynx.
